Polylactic Acid is a biodegradable thermoplastic polymer and is the most widely used material in 3d printing.   PLA is strong and rigid best suited for prototypes, decorative items and low stress functional parts.    PLA is the easiest to print with.

Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol is durable, semi flexible thermoplastic that combines the strength of ABS with the ease of printing of PLA.  PETG is known for its impact strength and moisture resistance.  Ideal for mechanical parts, functional prototypes and food safe applications. 

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene is a strong, durable thermoplastic polymer used for creating functional, impact resistant parts and prototypes.  Known for its toughness, heat resistance and machinability.  This is the same plastic used in LEGO bricks and automotive components. Heat resistance comparison :

PLA:  approximately 50-60C / 122-140F

PETG:  approximately 70-80C / 158-176F

ABS:  approximately up to 100C/ 212F

A mix.  We work with several different designers on commercial license for items plus we design some on our own.
